Life as an aspiring Artist (Post 1) Understanding me

My life right now is crazy and I knew in order to capture this journey in its fullness I needed to start documenting it. If being a college student isn't enough, well certainly being an over-acheiving college student must be. As a student at Tennessee State University I am President of the award winning Forensics Team, Miss Black and Gold for the Beta Omicron Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc, Treasurer for the Student Elections Commission, and a proud member of Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity! *deep breath* On top of all of my school endeavors I am a music artist out of Nashville, TN. Aside from my solo career, I travel with a local band called The Jimmy Church Band. I have been traveling with Jimmy for over a year now across the country singing and dancing with two of the most beautiful women I have ever met. My life and my journey have shaped my whole perspective on the world. I have so many stories to share and I want to pore them all out for not just my fans but for myself. There is so much emphasis on being remembered for generations to come, but even more than that... I want to inspire generations. I want them to be better than me. If centuries go by and my name is but a faint exhale on the subconscious of my predecessors I want my actions to breathe through their muscles so that they may be better than me. The future is so important to me...

I remember in high school my dance teacher told me "You can't be a jack of all trades and a master of any..." Which meant I couldn't be a dancing, acting, musical superstar...

I plan to prove him wrong.

I'm a writer, songstress, musician, dancer, actress, poet, model, innovator, strong, independent young woman and I continue to learn more about myself. I want you to follow me on this journey.
